The gameplay segment we witnessed occurs early in the first episode, picking up as Nima investigates Nedry's abandoned jeep. Placing a Lara Croft-style heroine in a leading role is a surprise move on the developers' part, given that Jurassic Park traditionally centres on geeky scientists and palaeontologists, but it's a good fit for the series. Nima was chosen for the mission due to her in-depth knowledge of the island, but it soon transpires that she is completely in the dark when it comes to the creatures that inhabit it. In the demo, we were introduced to Nima, a professional smuggler sent to Isla Nublar to retrieve the lost embryos, and one of several characters the player will control during the adventure. Throwing in a convenient plot device, the developers decided that Nedry's aerosol contained a tracking device so it could be retrieved if the portly IT geek failed to carry out his mission.
